Air Blown Cable
Air Blown Cable is a fibre optic cable designed to be installed into microducts using air-blown installation technology, without the need for excavation. Because it can also be blown into existing duct and pipeline routes, it helps operators save duct space and expand networks quickly as demand grows. It is typically installed from the fibre distribution point on the street to the customer's premises using a blowing gun or a cable blowing machine. The cable core is formed by arranging the optical fibres and fillers in a cured photosensitive resin, and a special low-friction sheath is extruded over the core to give good air-blowing performance. Small and lightweight, it is easy to install with a handheld cable air-blowing machine and is compatible with industry-standard air-blowing equipment. G.657A1 fibre provides a small bending radius, making the cable suitable for indoor wiring as well as outdoor microduct routes in FTTx and FTTH networks.
