Chamber Subscriber Node

The Chamber Subscriber Node (CSN) is a closure developed for installing pre-terminated drop cables in FTTx networks. It provides a clear separation between the network build and the customer drop: the network side is prepared once, while customer connections are made later by plugging in connectorised drop cables. Housing the drop connectors within the CSN keeps optical connectivity cost-effective and secure, and means installers do not need to access the delicate 250μm fibres when connecting a customer. Optimised for fast deployment, the closure can be supplied as a standalone unit ready for splicing, or as a pre-tailed closure for even faster rollouts. Up to 24 drop cable customer connections can be offered from a single enclosure. An impact-resistant enclosure, durable sealing clips and a high-quality hinge mechanism protect the connections, and the cover can be fixed open at a set angle for easier working. For operators and contractors, the CSN shortens connection times and reduces the risk of fibre damage at the point of customer installation.
